TEF/TCF Evaluator
AI feedback for the French TEF and TCF exams, mapped to CEFR levels A1 to C2. Live.
- Founder, architect and full-stack developer

What it is
The same evaluation platform rebuilt for French: TEF and TCF writing and speaking tasks are scored criterion by criterion, mapped to a CEFR level, and tracked over time with charts.
The problem
Candidates preparing for Canadian immigration and French-language exams need frequent, structured feedback. The product also had to support two payment providers, promotions and a free trial without hand-run admin work.

Key decisions
A product line, not a copy
The IELTS architecture was generalised so the exam, criteria and level mapping are configuration. TEF/TCF adds CEFR mapping and a second payment provider on the same skeleton.
Practice mode costs nothing
Tests can be taken without AI evaluation and without spending credits, which keeps casual practice cheap to serve.
